COMPLINE EVERY WEDNESDAY EVENING
You are invited to join Rev. Marti and her husband, the Rev. Dr. John for Compline, which is also known as Night Prayer or the Prayers at the End of the Day. This short service serves as the final prayer liturgy of the day in Christian tradition of canonical hours, which are held at fixed prayer times. If you happen to have a copy of The Book of Common Prayer, please refer to page 127, this will provide an example of what the Compline is. Please follow the directions below to join us.

The Zoom room opens at 7pm for fellowship and compline begins at 7:30. You are welcome to join us at whatever time you are availabe to sign in. We hope you will join us for this midweek service.
Chimes Newsletter: The deadline for submitting an article for placement in the Chimes Newsletter is the 20th of each month.
Prayer Lists: Please review your acute and long-term prayer requests and let the church office know when someone may be removed or may need to be moved to another list.
Prayer Intercessor: Choose one or two people to prqy for each week. Praying will help lift their burdens and will bring you closer to God and your neighbors.
Museum of the Iron Worker: This museum is located across the street from our church and is now open every weekend from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Regularly Scheduled Meetings:
Vestry meets on the 2nd Sunday of the month, September - July after a brief coffee hour.
AA meets in the parish hall at 7 PM on Tuesdays and at noon on Fridays.
Living Water Inclusive Catholic Community worships at Harriet Chapel on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of each month at 12:30 PM followed by fellowship. All are welcome.
The Flower Signup Sheet is posted in the hallway next to the parish hall. ‘The Little Flower Shop’ in Emmitsburg. The cost is $65.00, this includes the $10.00 delivery charge. They only do delivery! They are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, so they will deliver our flowers on Friday. They have a website, if you would like to check them out it is: www.thelittleflowerflorist.com. .
Remember, no artificial flowers, bows, ribbons, adornments of any kind are allowed on the altar. We would also like to caution against using live flowers which have been dyed, if these should accidentally get spilled, the dye may damage the carpet. When the season permits, you may use flowers from your own gardens, or you may even use a nice potted plant.
Loose Change Offerings on the first Sunday of each month: All loose change in the offerings will go into the Rector's Discretionary Fund to be used for emergencies. On every 5th Sunday in a month, all loose change will be used for our Outreach Ministry.
Coffee Hour Sign-up sheets are available on the hallway next to the parish hall.
Inclement Weather Policy: Rev. Marti will always try to get to church for services unless the roads are unsafe. Please use your own discretion about whether the roads near your home are safe for travel. If we know in advance that church will not be held, an email will be sent letting everyone know. Please call anyone you know who may not have access to a computer to let them know our status. Please make sure that the church office has your correct email address!
